New Jersey Colt model 1863 percussion special contract musket, .58 caliber, having walnut stock, stamped N. J. on left flat, sling swivels, the barrel with VP eagle head proof, dated 1863, as well as N. J. - steel, the lock inscribed US Colts Pt F. A. Mfg. Co., Hartford Ct., dated 1863, with two leaf folding rear sight, 40" barrel.
Overall very good condition, light handling marks to stock.
