Massachusetts Chippendale mahogany three-part secretary, ca. 1770, with a broken arch bonnet and scalloped panel doors, resting on a fall front base with blocked case and bracket feet, 96" h., 41 3/4" w. Provenance: A Chester County, Pennsylvania estate.
Broken arch pediment restored. A few sections of molding to top of upper section are replaced. Right door with a few butterfly patches to back side to tighten age cracks. A couple valences likely replaced. Brasses replaced. Bottom half of feet ended out. Loss to rear foot facings. A couple replaced boards to drawer bottoms.
