Massachusetts Arms Co. Maynard breech loading rifle, .36 caliber, with high grade checkered walnut pistol grip stock, Schnabel forend, left side of receiver with four line mark, dated 1873, the right side of receiver with three line mark, dated 1882, rear tang sight with globe front sight, Swiss style steel butt plate, 28 1/4" octagonal to round barrel. Provenance: The Firearms & Militaria Collection of Robert Spangler Jr., West Chester, Pennsylvania.
Good overall condition as refinished retaining 99% of re-blue, receiver has been polished and is bright, frosty bore with little rifling, stocks show normal handling marks.
