Liverpool Herculaneum earthenware pitcher, early 19th c., with transfer decoration of Commodore Preble's Squadron Attacking the City of Tripoli Aug. 3 1804, the reverse with a bust of Preble above a Native American, and beneath the spout with an American eagle and shield, above the inscription Herculaneum Pottery, Liverpool, 9'' h. Condition

1/4" spout chip. Glaze roughness to rim and handle. Base of handle restored. A few small stains.
