Extraordinarily large English brass trumpet candlestick, mid 17th c., with a highly unusual removable 5" bobeche, most likely used as a hand held pan light, supported by a turned shaft with central knop, a large incised drip pan, and a typical flaring base, 12 1/2" h. This is a unique form of the trumpet type of stick. Provenance: The Collection of F.R. "Bud" Lear III.
