Lancaster, Pennsylvania Chippendale walnut dressing table, ca. 1770, the rectangular top with thumb molded edge overhanging a case with one long drawer, above a central short drawer with incised shell carving and applied floral streamers flanked by two drawers and fluted chamfered corners, over a scalloped skirt with shell carving supported by shell carved cabriole legs terminating in ball and claw feet, retains period brasses, 29 1/2" h., 33" w., 20" d. Provenance: Philip H. Bradley Co.

Condition

Brasses are period. Small age hairlines in applied carvings but all original. Underside of top has replaced glue blocks and bracing. Period (18th c.) small patch on back leg for knot hole. Nice older surface.
