Lancaster County, Pennsylvania fan back windsor side chair, ca. 1770, with a 9-spindle back and blunt arrow feet. The chair retains a wonderful early green surface with yellow pinstriping, the underside inscribed "G. Rau No 2". Provenance: Asher J. Odenwelder; Edgar & Charlotte Sittig.
Signed on seat 6. Rav. No. 2. Very good condition. No apparent damages or repairs.
