Jonas Weber (Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, 1810-1876), painted pine trinket box dated 1848 and inscribed Hannah S. Ressler, the lid and sides with vibrant floral decoration, the front with a large white house flanked by pine trees, above a tri-color lawn, all on a dark green/blue ground, 5 3/4" h., 10 1/4" w. Accompanying this lot is a group of Kessler ephemera to include a journal by Hannah detailing an excursion from Lancaster County, Pennsylvania to Ohio in 1848.
Small flake to house. Silver flakes to bottom left of case. Repaired breaks to feet.
