John Wirth, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania half stock percussion long rifle, approximately .38 caliber, with checkered walnut stock, having engraved brass furniture, including trigger guard, crescent butt plate and small oval patchbox with stag finial, the opposing side with stag inlaid cheek rest, the barrel inscribed John Wirth West Philada, scroll engraved lock plate and set trigger, 31 1/2" octagonal barrel.
Overall very good condition, all metal turning brown.
