John Manton & Son percussion side by side double-barrel shotgun, 14 gauge, with lightly engraved side locks, one marked John Manton & Son Patent, the barrel rib marked London, with a nicely engraved trigger guard with a pineapple finial and scroll work on the tang, vibrant and well-defined damasking, an English walnut stock with a steel butt plate and a small silver thumb escutcheon, serial #7049, 29 1/2" damascus barrels.
Left barrel has small dent at bore edge. Locks are fully functional. There is a crack through the wrist of the stock from the upper tang around the left side to the trigger guard. There are two small dents to the right butt stock and an old repair. It has a 14" pull and a 2 3/4" drop. Nice ebony cleaning rod. Very good condition.
