Intricate red, white, and blue jacquard coverlet, the foliage decorated corner blocks inscribed "1867", the border decorated with double rows of buildings, palm trees, and American flags, the interior with birds feeding their young in a nest , foliage, potted flowers, and peacocks, 85" x 80". This lot is pictured in Coverlets by Melinda Zongor and Joseph D. Shein, pgs. 208 and 209.
Overall very good condition. Loss to white fringe and edge. Small losses to blue. A few small stains.
