Important New Jersey Federal mahogany tall case clock, ca. 1800, the broken arch bonnet with pinwheel inlaid rosettes over a glazed tombstone door, enclosing an 8-day works and dial inscribed "William Dawes, Hackensack", above a highly inlaid case with elaborate conch shell, oval, and barber pole inlays, line inlaid quarter columns, and a base with a scalloped skirt supported by bracket feet, 94 1/2" h.
