Identified Civil War Spencer lever action rifle, .52-56 caliber, with adjustable ladder rear sight, straight walnut stock with magazine tube in the butt plate, this rifle has been identified as having belonged to John A. Weaver, Company G, 8th cavalry, 39th Regiment of Indiana via records of the Adjutant General's Office 30'' barrel. SN 8029
Bright bore with strong rifling, butt stock appears to have been sanded, missing upper and lower sling swivels, overall very good condition.
