German brass double socket pricket candlestick, late 15th c., with a cast iron pricket flanked by two tapering octagonal sockets, supported by a shaft with a central discoid knop, over a shallow round circular base, an unusual variation of the "Three Kings" form of candlestick, 8 3/8" h. Provenance: D'Allenagne Collection, Paris; The Collection of F.R. "Bud" Lear III.
