George III mahogany sideboard, ca. 1790, the rectangular top with ovolo corners over a case with burlwood inlays supported by square tapering legs terminating in spade feet, 35 3/4" h., 72" w.
Brasses replaced. Minor veneer losses. Brass plaque on underside inscribed "bought by K.F. Merle-Smith 300 Park Ave NY 1921". Provenance: PA educational institution.
