Fayetteville two-band percussion musket, .58 caliber, with brass bands, a trigger guard, and a buttplate inscribed CSA, 33'' round barrel.
The lock is marked "1862" behind the hammer & Fayetteville forward of the hammer with an eagle over "CSA" In the middle. The 1862 dated barrel has a flip sight & a sword bayonet lug on the right side behind the muzzle. The brass butt plate has "CSA" marked on the top & there is a small "PB" stamped into the right side opposite the lock. Missing the ramrod.
