English mahogany ship's stick barometer, early 19th c., with brass gimbaled mount, signed Chas. Jones Liverpool, 37" h.
Wood ring under brass collar replaced. Overall very good condition. Scales are made of ivory. In working order (no guarantee). Mercury content complete (please be sure to contact your shipper prior to purchase to ensure they can ship items containing mercury). Both glass windows replaced with plexiglass. Provenance: The Collection of Captain Hall Jackson Tibbits (1797-1872), Long Island, NY.
