Durs Rudy Sr. (Lehigh County, Pennsylvania 1766-1843), striking watercolor and ink on paper fraktur drawing, ca. 1830, depicting Swiss Grenadiers marching with typical squared off faces, some with instruments or rifles, one holding a flag and one a sword in red, black, and blue uniforms, 8" x 9 3/4". Period frame. Restoration to lower corners. 3" x 1/4" restoration to lower edge. 1/2" x entire width restored. Several small repaired holes.
