Cantwell's Bridge, Delaware Chippendale mahogany bowfront chest of drawers, ca. 1780, with fluted quarter columns and ogee bracket feet, 36" h., 42" w. Elements of construction further this attribution to Janvier's workshop. Provenance: Descended in the Janvier family to the present owner.
Description should read Cantwell's Bridge, Delaware (not Pennsylvania). Brasses replaced. A few small veneer patches. Repaired breaks to foot facings.
