Christian Strenge(Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, active 1787-1820) - Ephrata Psalter dated 1795 with hand-drawn watercolor and ink on paper double bookplate for "Maria Dorthea Hoffman 1755", the left hand page with 2 upper panels of script over a lower panel with typical little bird with top notch arising from an urn with trailing vines, tulips and stylized flowers in vibrant tones of red, yellow, green, and pink, withing a yellow border with blocked corners, the right page with script within a similar border, 6 3/4" x 3 3/4" (loss to edge of left page).
