Chester County, Pennsylvania Federal mahogany tall case clock, ca. 1820, the broken arch bonnet enclosing an eight day works, signed G.W. Baldwin, over a case with chamfered corners and turned feet, the case attributed to Thomas Ogden, West Chester 1790-1841, 96 1/2" h. A newly identical case is illustrated in Schiffer, Furniture and Its Makers of Chester County, Pennsylvania, fig. 84.
Parts: glass pane, winder, key, pendulum, two weights. Clock appears to be complete. Clock is original. Finish is in good condition. A few minor veneer cracks. Overall very good condition. Pook & Pook, Inc. does not guarantee clocks to be complete or in working condition.
