Bisque head doll, 19th c., with a French body and German head, with fixed eyes, a closed mouth, and a jointed composition body, inscribed on head {32_33}, shoes marked {Depose}, 27 1/2" h.
Very tiny flake at earring hole/ear piercings. Wear to hands and fingers. Body with paint loss mainly at joints. Redressed with stains and toning to outfit. Probably the original shoes and socks. Cork plate with Styrofoam filler. Doll has a French body with a German head.
