Bedford County, Pennsylvania full stock buck & ball long rifle, approximately .55 caliber, tiger maple stock with incised and relief carvings, to include vines on the rear stock and checkered detail forward of the lock and side plates, with brass mountings and a four-piece engraved brass patchbox with five piercings, 44 3/4'' octagonal barrel.
Condition
This unsigned rifle was originally a flintlock with set triggers. The stock has an old 3.5" repair from behind the bolster to behind the lock. There is also a repair to the toe of the stock under the buttplate. There is a 4" crack from the nosecap back on the right side.
