Austrian model 1842 Kammerbuchse rifle, approximately .58 caliber, having a hardwood stock with a sliding wooden patchbox, a brass nose cap, trigger guard and buttplate, it has been converted from flintlock to tube lock with a Delvigne breech, and a 28'' octagonal heavily rifled barrel turned round for the last 4 1/2'' to accommodate a bayonet. Good overall condition with light pitting to the metal, normal handling marks to the stock, prominent cheek rest to the right side, tube lock is fully functional, no provision for a ramrod.
