Attributed to Jane Stuart (American 1812-1888), oil on canvas rendition of Gilbert Stuart's iconic George Washington at Dorchester Heights, 53" x 35". The youngest daughter of portraitist Gilbert Stuart, Jane became well known in her own right. She executed numerous copies of her father's works, most of George Washington. Another copy of Dorchester Heights done by Jane is in the collection of Mount Vernon. Provenance: Normandy Farms, Pennsylvania, Strassburger Estate.
