Attributed to James H. Gillespie, double watercolor miniature portrait of a lady and gentleman, early 19th c., in a mahogany frame, 2 1/2" x 2" each.
Period frame. Painted on card and placed in a matte behind modern paper (matte taped to paper w/ gauzy tape). No apparent paint loss except to the bottom section of the woman's necklace, minor and not visible to the naked eye. Very good condition. Not examined out of matte.
