Apulian red figure plate, 4th c. B.C., with a profile of a lady of fashion, 6 7/8" dia. Provenance: Charles Ede Ltd., London, acquired in 1982, Christie's London, April 2010, sale 5487, lot 240 and later purchased in 2011 from Artemission, London. Lot includes relevant paperwork.
Intact. No apparent damages. Provenance: A Pennsylvania estate. All of the ancient art and antiquities in this sale are from the same estate. An ancient art specialist was brought in from New York to assist with authenticating and describing the pieces in the collection.
