American red painted wooden trencher, 19th c., together with seventeen multicolored sewing balls. Large age crack and several smaller age cracks through bottom. Red ball with diamonds - stains, surface dirt, one very small area of loss. Red ball with diamonds #2 - stains, surface dirt, several small areas of thread loss, 1/8" old repair. Ball with red circles - thread loss. Red border diamonds - 1/4" x 1/4" area of thread loss. Grey - small sporadic thread loss. Striped - small sporadic thread loss. Blue diamonds - sporadic thread loss. Striped #2 - sporadic thread loss. Large ball with burgundy border diamonds - small sporadic losses and frays. Purple diamonds - stains, surface dirt, very minor loss.
