American engraved powder horn, inscribed "Isaiah Thomas" and dated "1775", with elaborate mermaid, tall ship, c-scroll, heart, and pinwheel decoration, 14" l. Isaiah Thomas was a patriot during the American Revolution and founder of the American Antiquarian Society. Provenance: William Guthman.

Condition

Condition report not complete. Frame stamped .31 (was not overstamped with .38 when converted). Cylinder stamped with stagecoach (very worn). Centerfire. Description should read: Colt .38 caliber revolver, with a 3 1/2" round cartridge barrel, serial #306507, the Model 1849 frame stamped "Pat. July 25, 1871/Pat July 2, 1872".
