WW II Japanese Army Officer's katana with leather wrapped scabbard, having a ray skin grip, the blade appears to be hand made in the mid 19th century with a brass tsuba decorated with cherry blossoms, 26'' blade.
The blade shows some tarnishing and light pitting in spots but doesn't appear to be sharpened, leather scabbard cover is damaged but mostly present, leather wrap was not removed to examine the upper portion of the blade.
