Wonderful English needlework crib cover, 17th c., with 35 magnificent slips and initialed "H.E.", by Honor Elliot, daughter of Vice Admiral of Devon Coast John Elliot, each slip worked in various silk threads in arrangements with floral and fruit trees, animals, etc., including tulips, pansies, lilies, birds, rabbit, caterpillars, elephant, wild boar, leopards, snail, dog, monkey, and others representing many varieties of stitchery and stump work, 37 1/2" x 44 1/2".
