Willoughby Shade (Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, mid 19th c.), punched tin coffee pot profusely decorated with birds and flowers, the flared base with elephants, stamped on handle W. Shade, 11 1/4" h. Another Shade coffee pot decorated with elephants is in the collection of Winterthur Museum and Gardens. Provenance: Christies, The Collection of Richard and Joan Smith, June 3, 1995.
