Whitneyville Connecticut Contract model 1861 musket, .58 caliber, the lock inscribed Whitneyville, with eagle over a panoply of flags, the barrel stamped S, straight walnut stock, pewter fore end cap, unmarked butt plate, 40'' barrel.
Several small epoxy repairs to stock, handling marks, metal bright, overall good condition.
