US Springfield model 1884 trapdoor single shot saddle ring carbine, 45-70 caliber, with a Buffington C marked rear sight, with 22'' round barrel. SN# illegible.
Fair overall condition, having a frosty bore with little rifling, all metal has a brown, coarse patina, no visible marks on the lockplate, stock shows normal handling marks and is devoid of cartouches except 36 on the buttstock behind the lower tang.
