US Springfield Armory model 1896 Krag saddle ring carbine, .30-40 Krag caliber, used extensively in the Spanish American War, having a walnut stock with finger grooves, stamped 57, with two P cartouches behind the trigger guard, C marked ladder sight, 22" barrel. SN# 68809 C&R
Good overall condition, barrel and receiver turning brown, flame blue on extractor, frosty bore, stock show heavy handling marks and dents, handguard is cracked.
