US Army WW I entrenchment shovel and pick mattock, the shovel with a canvas cover, stamped R.I.A. 1909 10 I 42, the handle stamped US 1917, 22 1/2'' l., the mattock with original canvas cover, stamped Canvas Products Co. Oct. 1918, the handle stamped US. Provenance: The Militaria Collection of Boyd W. Houck, Philipsburg, Pennsylvania.
