U.S. Springfield model 1903 rifle, 30.06 caliber, with a 24" round barrel and an adjustable rear sight, SN {1378352}. [C&R]
Frosty bore. The bore has strong rifling but is a little dirty. Barrel has light surface rust near muzzle. Barrel date marking (near front site) SA 3-38. SA/SPG cartouche on left stock. Circle P on pistol grip & D1836 stamped into lower butt stock behind pistol grip. Strong cartouche and excellent wood. Fully functional action.
