U.S. Springfield model 1884 trapdoor rifle, 45-70 caliber, with a 32 5/8" barrel and a Buffington rear sight.
There is no saddle ring on the left side of the stock. Marked US near the beech. Overall very good condition. Barrel hammer and lock has strong blue, bright bore and normal handling marks on stock
