U.S. model 1816 flintlock pistol, .54 caliber, the lock bearing the mark of Simeon North of Middletown, Connecticut, with a 9 1/8'' smoothbore round barrel.
Barrel and lock pitting, cock is missing the top jaw and screw, lock cocks only after the trigger has been set, stock with numerous cracks and chips, with a 1/2" x 1/2" loss near the upper tang, old brass repair to the wrist and patchbox door replaced.
