Two watercolor on laid paper coats of arms, the first inscribed By the Name of Jordan, with a lion's head above extensive red and blue swirls, centered on a knight's helmet facing left, above a blue shield with an eagle above green sheaves, the reverse bears a label describing the coat of arms and signed Boston 10th April 1802, 14" h., 10" w., the other a nearly identical example inscribed By the Name of Howes, with a left-facing knight's helmet surmounted by extensive red and blue swirls, above a white shield with horizontal blue banner and three rampant lions, above green sheaves.
