Two ink on paper documents relating to the Chandlee family of clockmakers from Chester County, Pennsylvania and Cecil County, Maryland, to include an agreement of land purchase in East Nottingham between Benjamin Chandlee and John White, dated 1755, signed by Benjamin and Cottey Chandlee, 7 1/2'' x 12 3/8'', and a deed of sale of land in Cecil County between Ellis Chandlee and Levi Oldham, dated 1822, 10 3/4'' x 15 1/2''. Provenance: Private Maryland collection.
Both mounted in between sheets of glass. Expected soiling.
