Two Caribbean sailor's carved tortoise shell combs, 19th c. in the form of an Indian and a Victorian lady, 6 3/4" h., 6 1/2" h.
Woman - one side of neck broken, one tooth broken, a couple small losses to pierce work. Indian - contemporary, not tortoise shell, excellent condition, no apparent damages or repairs.
