Two bowback windsor chairs, together with two fanback windsor chairs, ca. 1810.
Bowback #1 - four cracks in crest, one repaired break in crest, row of seven filled holes in front of seat, surface abrasions. Bowback #2 - stamped 1 Tyson on bottom of seat, two small cracks in crest. Seven spindle chair - break to crest, 2" x 3" patch to crest, 2 1/2" x 2 1/2" patch to seat, joints loose. Eight spindle chair - 1/2" x 3" patch to seat, joints very loose, large nail added to side of seat into leg, repaired blow-out at underside of one leg.
