Two Basilius Besler color engraved botanicals, from Hortus Eystettensis, 20" x 15 1/2". Provenance: A Richmond, Virginia collection.
Original Besler botanicals from the 1600's. Amaranthus - not laid down. 21 1/2" x 17 3/8", a couple small repairs to bottom left edge, stain below title. Petasites - not laid down, 21 1/4" x 16", loss to top right corner.
