Two Alice Boughton signed photographs, one of May Bennett, founder of Bennett College, a women's college founded in 1890 in the Village of Millbrook, New York, photo - 6" x 8", frame - 10 3/4" x 14 1/4"; the other of Charles Rann Kennedy, a British-born playwright who taught for a number of years at Bennett College, signed lower right corner, photo - 6" x 8", frame - 11 1/4" x 14 3/4". Alice Boughton was a respected portrait photographer based in New York, known for her portraits of literary and theatrical figures of the time.
