Three scrimshaw whale teeth, early 20th c., depicting the San Jacinto stopping the Trent on front, the reverse with sailors farewell, 4 1/2" h., the second with Cleopatra's Barge built Salem 1816 on front, the reverse with Captain Benjamin Crowningshield, 4" h., and the last with The Merrimac and Monitor exchange fire on front, the reverse with Abraham Lincoln, 3 1/2" h.

Condition

One tooth with loss to top before it was carved. Provenance: Cumberland County Historical Society.
