Three letters from Civil War officer Captain George Baleh to Hugh Harbison, Esq. of the Colt P. F. A. Manufacturing Company, dated 1861, regarding an order of one thousand pistols, together with a quarterly ordinance report and return list for the 84th Regiment of the US Colored Infantry, commanded by Elias B. Yordy, dated 1865.

Condition

George Baleh (or Balch in several records) was promoted to captain of the ordnance department on November 1st, 1861, stationed at the Navy Yard in Washington. He was an "Instructor of Ordnance and Science of Gunnery" at West Point 1865. Condition not examined. Please submit request to conditions@pookandpook.com.
