Third Pattern Brown Bess musket, with .75 cal., round 40" barrel, the lock marked Tower - 1742 - GR. Published in the History of Weapons of the American Revolution, pg. 68. Provenance: George C. Neuman.

Condition

The smoothbore barrel is painted black with broad arrow proofs & the number "14" stamped above the touch hole. The walnut stock is a modern replacement with brass furniture. The ramrod pipes appear to be original & the fully functional lock is original. There are no sling rings on the firearm, pipes appear to be original & the fully functional lock is original.
