The Griscom Family Philadelphia Queen Anne curly maple tall case clock, ca. 1740, the flat top bonnet enclosing an 8-day works with brass face inscribed " Edward Duffield Philadelphia", over a waist with arched door supported by bracket feet, retaining an old mellow finish, 91 1/4" h. Provenance: Descended in the family of the present owner.

Condition

Parts: pendulum, two weights, key, winder. Root board of bonnet replaced. Possibly fitted with a sarcophagus top originally. Crack to glass. Side cornice shaved down 1/2". Hinges replaced. Movement original to case. Feet origina. We do not guarantee the working condition of clocks.
