Swiss Allard-Sandoz orchestral music box, ca. 1870, with 7 engine turned bells, drum, and castanet, with double comb encased in an ebonized and burled walnut case with cast brass handles on a matching table with single drawer containing 6 cylinders, each 19 1/2" l., resting on cabriole legs, 40 1/2" h., 52" w. (overall height and width).
Condition
Depth - 26". Cylinder length - 19 1/2" (rim to rim, no spindle). Eight tunes per cylinder. Six cylinders total (five in drawer, one in player). Missing catch of lock. No missing teeth. Unknown if any tips have been repairs/replaced. All pins present. Tips hit the notes on the cylinder. Working fine. We do not guarantee working condition of music boxes.
